Lab Equipment Coordinator
Location: New York, New York (Onsite)
Role Overview We are seeking a self-motivated individual with a scientific background to join a laboratory management team. This role will support group leaders, platform leaders, and scientists. The position involves the management and maintenance of laboratory equipment and operations.
Key Responsibilities

Maintain lab instrumentation, including calibration and maintenance, coordinating with vendors and engineers as needed.

Manage implementation and user accounts for lab management software.

Provide instrument training to new users.

Manage equipment and supply inventory for the laboratories, including ordering and coordinating delivery and installation.

Manage day-to-day laboratory safety and ensure the laboratory remains in compliance with all relevant local, state, and federal regulations.

Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for laboratories.

Liaise with facilities and EHS support teams, reporting and resolving issues within the physical laboratory space.

Serve on committees relating to lab operations as appropriate.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Education: A BS/MS in Biology, Chemistry, or an equivalent field is required.

Experience: A minimum of 2 years of relevant lab management or operations experience is required. Experience handling chemicals is also necessary.

Skills: Candidates must demonstrate the ability to work independently, possess communication skills, and have attention to detail. The role requires a self-motivated, collaborative, and team-oriented individual.
