Join our Medical Device Test Laboratory as a Lab Engineer – Product Testing, where you will play a key role in supporting the Design Verification (DV) of innovative medical devices. In this role, you will execute product testing, maintain laboratory equipment, document test results, and collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure high-quality and compliant product verification. Our TeamYou will be part of the Global Innovation & Development (GID) Test Laboratory at Phillips-Medisize, a Molex company, working alongside design engineers, senior test engineers, and cross-functional teams to verify the performance, reliability, and quality of medical devices. What You Will Do Execute product verification tests in accordance with approved test methods, protocols, and standardized procedures. Record, analyze, and document test results while maintaining accurate technical documentation. Support laboratory equipment maintenance, calibration coordination, and overall laboratory readiness. Assist in building and maintaining test fixtures and assemblies in collaboration with design engineers. Coordinate laboratory logistics, including material planning and test sample management. Ensure compliance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP), internal procedures, and quality requirements. Identify and report quality or compliance concerns and support corrective and preventive actions. Recommend continuous improvements to laboratory processes, testing methods, and documentation practices. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support successful Design Verification activities for medical devices.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline. 3–10 years of experience in laboratory testing or product testing. Working knowledge of ISO 17025 and ISO 13485 documentation and laboratory practices. (Preferred) Experience with testing procedures, protocols, and technical report documentation. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Familiarity with laboratory testing equipment and their maintenance. Good communication skills with a strong commitment to quality and compliance.
