About the Role The L3 Network Automation Engineer designs, develops, and operates scalable network automation solutions across enterprise environments. The role focuses on transforming manual network operations into automated, policy-driven workflows, improving reliability, speed, and compliance. The engineer works closely with Network Operations, Engineering, and ITSM teams to deliver automation aligned with incident, change, and provisioning workflows. What You'll Do

  • Design and implement network automation workflows for provisioning, configuration, incident resolution, and change execution.
  • Develop reusable automation modules, templates, and libraries to standardize operations.
  • Integrate automation platforms with ITSM tools (ServiceNow) for ticket-driven execution and orchestration.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, version control, and code governance using Git/Bitbucket.
  • Lead L3 troubleshooting and root cause analysis (RCA) for automation and network issues.
  • Translate network runbooks into automated workflows ensuring compliance and audit readiness.
  • Implement validation, rollback, and testing mechanisms for safe automation deployments.
  • Collaborate with network SMEs to automate LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, and security operations.
  • Ensure SLA adherence and support a global follow-the-sun model.
  • Mentor L2 engineers and provide technical leadership in automation practices. What We're Looking For
  • Strong experience in designing and implementing network automation across LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, and security operations.
  • Proficiency in Python, Go, or Node.js scripting; experience with automation tools such as Ansible and Terraform.
  • Experience with REST APIs and JSON/YAML integrations.
  • Experience building CI/CD pipelines and managing version control with Git/Bitbucket.
  • Ability to lead L3 troubleshooting, perform RCA, and collaborate with network SMEs; capable of mentoring L2 engineers.
  • Familiarity with ITSM integrations (e.g., ServiceNow) and ensuring compliance and audit readiness. Nice to Have
