Applying for Remote EdTech Roles on Crossover
Applying for remote EdTech jobs on Crossover is tough, but extremely rewarding.
Our partner companies are looking for top 1% systems-thinkers who combine technical skill with a deep understanding of how people learn.
You might be a former educator turned product manager, an experienced data analyst shaping student outcomes, or an AI software engineer building smarter learning infrastructure.
What unites our applicants is a desire to build, not just maintain. These roles require autonomy, experimentation, and a clear track record of getting results.
You'll start with skills-based assessments in areas like cognitive problem-solving, communication, and role-specific expertise. Next, you’ll complete a work simulation to showcase your edge. If you pass, you’ll move on to a final interview with a senior leader.
Top candidates often receive offers within days.
Joining Crossover means becoming part of a global network of EdTech builders - designers, engineers, analysts, and creators who are all pushing modern learning forward.
What You’ll Do in a Remote Education Technology Role
This isn’t EdTech adjacent. These are education roles where you directly design, build, and deliver the technology powering modern learning.
Whether fully remote or in hybrid collaboration with US-based teams, you'll be part of the engine - not just the execution.
Your job may include:
- Designing Adaptive Learning Systems: Architect personalized, scalable learning experiences using AI-powered content and analytics.
- Driving Product Development: Contribute to agile roadmaps, working closely with education leaders and engineers to iterate and improve rapidly.
- Optimizing Student Success Tools: Analyze user behavior, surface insights, and help improve student engagement and mastery rates.
- Building Infrastructure: Support or lead on LMS integrations, platform scaling, and backend systems that make remote education seamless.
- Collaborating Across Functions: Work with curriculum experts, designers, and instructors to deliver experiences that are pedagogically sound and technically advanced.
- Staying Ahead of the Curve: Stay sharp on AI, ML, and learning tech trends to keep your edge - and your impact - growing.
This is your chance to build meaningful tech in an industry that matters. These EdTech jobs are work from home, worldwide or wherever you are.
Minimum Requirements for Remote EdTech Jobs
At Crossover, we know that results speak louder than résumés.
And you often don’t need to come from a traditional education background to succeed here. You do need proven ability to solve real-world problems, build smart systems, and be an AI thinker.
Some roles demand a masters degree, teaching and learning experience in the classroom, experience creating EdTech tools or a degree in educational tech. Some don't!
It's best to explore the job description to find out. Whatever your past experience, you'll be using artificial intelligence, virtual reality and online learning technology in the classroom to build new ways students learn.
Our EdTech clients hire for skill, creativity, and execution. If you’re a doer with vision for personalized learning, you’ll fit right in.
Here’s what will set you apart:
- Track Record of Impact: Experience shipping products, tools, or content that improved user outcomes - whether for students, educators, or admins.
- Technical Fluency: Proficiency in platforms (LMS, CMS, AI tools), programming (Python, JavaScript), data tools (SQL, BI), or content systems.
- Cross-Functional Thinking: Comfortable working across product, content, and engineering with a strong systems mindset.
- Agility & Iteration: Proven success in startup or innovation-first environments where speed matters.
- Mission-Driven Approach: A real passion for solving problems in education - through tech, not in spite of it.
We’re not hiring entry-level talent. These are roles for seasoned builders, analysts, designers, and engineers who are ready to build big and help redefine what modern learning can be.
Sound like you? Let’s build something extraordinary.
