About the Role Wise's Product Compliance & Risk (PC&R) team sits at the centre of Wise’s product development function, supporting cross-functional teams in delivering compliant financial products by design. We’re seeking a proactive individual to join the Global FinCrime PC&R team to elevate our Global KYC program for consumers and businesses. You will own the design, development and deployment of KYC controls for our global customers, working with product teams to balance customer experience with compliance. What You'll Do
- Own PC&R support in the design, development and deployment of KYC controls for all global customers.
- Identify and drive enhancements to improve customer experience, unlock growth, and improve operational processes.
- Use data to define the effectiveness of controls and support ongoing testing programs.
- Collaborate with product teams to implement and prioritise control improvements while driving efficiencies.
- Define project plans and facilitate implementation when audits or third parties identify improvements.
- Perform periodic reviews to ensure controls remain compliant with evolving regulations and industry guidance.
- Contribute to the mapping and assessment of controls as part of the annual financial crime risk assessment. What We're Looking For
- Minimum 7 years of experience in AML, with focus on KYC controls and advisory.
- CAMS, ICA or equivalent certification desirable.
- Experience collaborating with product and engineering teams to develop KYC/financial crime controls.
- Experience in automation of financial crime controls.
- Strong data analytics and communication, project coordination and management skills.
- Professionalism, integrity, and ability to provide clear rationales to teams.
- Resilience, ability to anticipate roadblocks, and willingness to challenge teams to serve customers while keeping processes robust and compliant.
- Willingness to travel as required. Nice to Have
