About the Role Wise's Product Compliance & Risk (PC&R) team sits at the center of product development, helping deliver compliant financial products at scale. We are seeking a proactive, customer-focused professional to join the Global FinCrime PC&R team and elevate our Global KYC program for consumers and businesses. You will work with the Global KYC product team to balance customer experience with compliance as we design, implement, and deploy KYC controls across the globe. What You'll Do
- Own the design, development, and deployment of KYC controls for all global customers.
- Identify and drive enhancements to improve customer experience, unlock growth, and streamline operations.
- Use data to measure control effectiveness and support an ongoing testing program.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to implement and prioritize control improvements and create efficiencies.
- Define project plans and manage implementation of improvements identified in audits or by third parties.
- Perform periodic reviews to ensure controls stay compliant with changing regulations and industry guidance.
- Contribute to mapping and assessment of controls as part of the annual financial crime risk assessment. What We're Looking For
- Minimum 7 years of AML experience with a focus on KYC controls and advisory.
- CAMS, ICA or equivalent certification desirable.
- Experience collaborating with product and engineering teams to develop KYC/financial crime controls.
- Experience in automation of financial crime controls.
- Strong data analytics skills.
- Clear communication, project coordination, and management skills.
- Wisdom, global perspective, integrity, and the ability to reason clearly for cross-functional teams.
- Willingness to challenge teams while maintaining robust compliance.
- Willingness to travel as required. Nice to Have
