Job title: KPU Controller (Key Product Unit)
About the Role The KPU Controller will directly support ASM's New Products group and manage OpEx and Capex analyses within one of the Business Units in ASM Americas. As a key finance partner to GMs and product leads, the role delivers critical insights for decision-making, maintains strong controls and reporting discipline, and collaborates with other KPU teams to mature processes as we move toward an AI-enabled future.
What You'll Do
- Serve as a trusted finance partner to New Products GM and product heads; translate data into clear insights, scenarios, and recommendations that influence decisions.
- Control burn rate based on execution to clear commercial and technical milestones.
- Own full P&L support for the business (revenue, margin, OpEx, strategic investments); lead annual planning, monthly forecasting and close; communicate variances and drivers to senior management; prepare P&L projections and management reporting for monthly/quarterly reviews.
- Maintain internal control procedures related to R&D capitalization; ensure adherence to financial policies; IFRS familiarity preferred.
- Automate recurring activities (data extraction, forecasting models, reporting workflows) to reduce manual effort; support design and implementation of new global processes; contribute to cross-functional finance initiatives; familiarity with AI tools is ideal.
- Manage Anaplan OpEx forecasting across BU1; cross-train in Capex processes for BU1; drive process and systems improvements with teammates.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; 3-5 years of relevant finance experience including FP&A, forecasting, and month-end close.
- Strong analytical, modeling, and problem-solving skills with a hands-on mindset; proven ability to partner with and influence cross-functional stakeholders at multiple levels.
- Experience with fully integrated ERP systems (SAP preferred); experience with forecasting tools such as Anaplan and reporting/visualization tools like PowerBI.
- Strong communication skills and experience presenting insights to management.
- Experience in a global, matrixed organization; background in semiconductor, high technology, or manufacturing environments; experience with data visualization and advanced financial modeling.
Nice to Have
- CPA, MBA, or equivalent professional certification.
- Proficiency with AI tools is ideal.
