About the Role The Kitchen Leader is responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations, ensuring consistent food quality, safety, and efficiency while leading and developing the back-of-house team. This role drives daily kitchen execution, inventory management, and health & safety compliance, while supporting profitability and guest experience. You will train, schedule, and develop future culinary leaders in partnership with regional leadership to uphold a four-walls culture at the location. What You'll Do
- Own daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, production, and quality standards; ensure consistent execution of recipes, presentation, and portioning.
- Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas; lead menu rollouts, oversee preparation and staff training; support events and ensure food requirements meet standards.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations; keep back-of-house areas inspection-ready and maintain sanitation protocols.
- Manage monthly inventory; place orders with suppliers and MarginEdge; monitor and control food costs, identifying waste or excess; align operations with budget goals.
- Hire, onboard, train, and develop BOH team members; provide coaching and performance feedback; ensure scheduling, uniforms, and staff meal policies are followed; manage timekeeping accuracy. What We're Looking For
- 2+ years of kitchen leadership or senior BOH experience
- Strong understanding of food safety, sanitation, and Health Department regulations
- Experience managing inventory, ordering, and food cost control
- Ability to lead in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, menu rollouts, and peak business days
- Bi-lingual in English and Spanish Nice to Have
- Experience with MarginEdge or similar kitchen tech tools Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $52,000–$58,000 per year
