About this role
A part-time, temporary Kitchen Hand role with ACCOR at Pullman Sydney Airport, located in Mascot, Australia. This position supports the kitchen team during busy service periods and requires adherence to safety and hygiene standards within a luxury hospitality environment.
Responsibilities
- Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans and kitchen equipment
- Operate commercial dishwashing equipment safely and efficiently
- Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, storage areas and back-of-house areas
- Assist with basic food preparation when required
- Remove rubbish and manage waste disposal and recycling areas
- Receive, store and organise kitchen supplies
- Follow food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety procedures
- Support chefs and the wider kitchen team during busy service periods
- Ensure cleaning chemicals and equipment are used and stored safely
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Kitchen Hand in a hotel, restaurant or similarly fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of kitchen hygiene, food safety and cleaning procedures
- Ability to work efficiently and stay organised during busy service periods
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness
- Positive attitude with strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to perform manual handling duties safely and stand for extended periods
- Availability to work a flexible rotating roster, including mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays
