About the Role
Under the direction of the Director of the MSCH NICU Data Committee, the NICU Clinical Data Abstractor works with a Clinical Data Navigator to abstract neonatal data from the Epic EMR for reporting, quality improvement initiatives, and clinical research. The role builds a Vermont Oxford Network (VON)-compliant REDCap database, ensuring high data integrity and clinical accuracy, and collaborates across the NICU Data Committee and CUIMC Analytics Development Team. What You'll Do
- Perform deep-dive clinical data abstraction from the Epic EMR for neonatal patients, including interpretation of clinical notes, labs, imaging, and flowsheets using Smart Data Elements, SmartForms, and reporting tools.
