About the Role KidStrong Assistant General Manager at KidStrong Natomas in Sacramento serves as the second in command to the General Manager, focusing on learning and development for coaches and families and delivering key business results such as sales performance and reducing member attrition. This role combines leadership, operations, and coaching to create an exceptional experience for kids, families, and staff. What You'll Do
- Center Operations: Understand KPIs and financials to inform decisions; build relationships with KidStrong families; oversee center initiatives (maintenance, training, brand consistency); ensure daily/weekly/monthly cleaning and maintenance; manage coach schedules and communicate changes; sell and schedule events (camps/parties) to maximize profitability.
- Sales: Maintain flawless lead management via the center CRM; finalize sales and bookings from online self-sign-up; source and attend local events to increase brand awareness and drive leads and memberships.
- Leadership: Foster a coaching culture; assess and document coaches; onboard/train/evaluate coaching candidates; manage staff development via LearnUpon; communicate professionally via Slack and Email.
- Coaching: Coach students with evolving curriculum focused on Brain, Physical, and Character development for ages from walking to approximately 11; explain the curriculum's why; implement programming; use KS Coaches App to record data; work physically in a childcare environment (moving up to 25 pounds); roughly 5-10 coaching hours per week. What We're Looking For
- Athletic or coaching background with experience coaching kids ages 15 months to 11 years; passion for working with children.
- Comfortable speaking with parents/guardians.
- Coach Certification through HQ Training and Certification team; completion of LearnUpon training.
- Prior experience with Google and Microsoft platforms.
- Experience with ZenPlanner, LearnUpon, CareerPlug, and ADP is preferred but not required.
- Intermediate knowledge of physiology, exercise techniques, and body mechanics; CPR certified.
- Management experience preferred but not required; ability to lead without direct reports; capacity to be Manager on Duty when the General Manager is off.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Nice to Have
