About the Role Canonical is hiring junior engineers to work across the Ubuntu Engineering organisation. We are looking for engineers who care deeply for quality, performance and resilience in software and who are comfortable designing and engineering new software as well as packaging, integrating, testing and shipping the incredible catalog of open source software provided by the Ubuntu repositories. Our engineers integrate the freshest open source software, provide robust upgrade paths and engineer the future of Ubuntu.
What You'll Do
- Design and engineer new software across Ubuntu, as well as packaging, integrating, testing and shipping open source software from the Ubuntu repositories.
- Work with a globally distributed team (1200+ colleagues in 75+ countries) with few in-office roles; participate in in-person meetings 2-4 times per year in interesting locations around the world.
- Contribute to quality, performance and resilience in software and help shape the future of Ubuntu.
