Job title: Junior Sales Manager

About the Role The Junior Sales Manager will support the Sales Manager in the operational and commercial management of the Italian client portfolio, ensuring administrative efficiency, timely sales processes, quality reporting, and direct oversight of smaller clients.

What You'll Do

  • Commercial administrative management: Drafting, updating and archiving annual supply contracts, framework agreements, business letters, price appendices, general conditions of sale; entering and maintaining commercial conditions in ERP; checking consistency between negotiated agreements and contractual documentation: prices, annual volumes, rebates / end-of-year bonuses, payment terms, logistical conditions; monitoring contract deadlines and renewals.
  • Pricing and spot quotes support: Manage spot quote requests from customers; preliminary pricing calculations based on industrial costs, minimum margin, logistics costs, quantities, production complexity; preparation of a structured economic offer; presentation to the Sales Manager for final approval; follow-up of submitted offers.
  • Management of assigned customers: Independent management of a small/medium or smaller client portfolio: receiving commercial requests; standard annual renewals; first-level commercial complaint management; negotiation within delegated limits; cross-selling / upselling; monitoring forecasts and purchased volumes; commercial visits where required.
  • Business reporting and data analysis: Preparation of periodic reporting for Italy and Europe: monthly sales; volume trend per customer; marginality; quarterly forecast; contract renewal status; opportunity pipeline; budget vs actual; price/mix variation analysis.
  • Internal coordination: Daily interface with Customer Service, Supply Chain, Production Planning, Finance / Credit Control, Quality, Marketing, HQ Europe / USA.

What We're Looking For

  • Adaptable with a strong commercial mindset and a light financial background.
  • Experience with drafting and managing commercial documentation and contract-related materials; familiarity with ERP systems.
  • Ability to independently manage a small/medium client portfolio, handle renewals, first-level complaints, and negotiate within delegated limits; cross-selling / upselling.
  • Proficiency in analyzing data and generating periodic business reports; comfort with forecasts, budgets, and variances.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication with internal teams (Customer Service, Supply Chain, Finance, Marketing, etc.); proactive and forward-thinking.
