Job title: Junior Quality Controller

About the Role Junior Quality Controller at Trouw Nutrition GB, a Nutreco company, supporting our Ashbourne manufacturing operations. You will help ensure that raw materials, production processes, and finished products consistently meet quality standards and contribute to site compliance. Training and development will be provided to help you grow a career in Quality within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

What You'll Do

  • Carry out routine quality inspections and checks on raw materials and finished products
  • Collect and manage product samples for testing and evaluation
  • Support investigations into quality complaints and non-conformances
  • Maintain accurate quality records and documentation
  • Assist with internal audits and quality assurance activities
  • Work closely with Production, Operations, Planning, and Supply Chain teams to resolve quality-related issues
  • Promote quality standards and best practices across the site
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the Quality function
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures, quality standards, and relevant regulations
  • Contribute to maintaining a safe working environment

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience within Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, Food Production, Feed Production, FMCG, or a similar environment is desirable
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment is an advantage
  • Exposure to quality standards such as UFAS, ISO, HACCP, or GMP+ is beneficial but not essential
  • Basic IT and Excel skills are required
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy, excellent communication, and the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders across the business
  • Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Nice to Have

  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Familiarity with quality standards such as UFAS, ISO, HACCP, or GMP+
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing business needs
