About the Role MTSI is seeking a Junior Model-Based Systems Engineer to support defense/aerospace programs in Lexington Park, MD. This role focuses on applying model-based systems engineering (MBSE) methods to help develop and analyze system architectures and interfaces. What You'll Do
- Assist MBSE activities to model system requirements, behavior, and interfaces using standard MBSE tools.
- Collaborate with system engineers, software developers, and program managers to ensure traceability across requirements, design, and verification.
- Support lifecycle activities including requirements management, system architecture modeling, and verification planning.
- Contribute to technical documentation and executive-style briefings for reviews. What We're Looking For
- Pursuing or completed a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Interest in MBSE concepts and systems engineering fundamentals.
- Strong analytical and written/verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment. Nice to Have
- Familiarity with MBSE tools (e.g., SysML modeling, MATLAB/Simulink, or similar) and requirements tools.
- Coursework or project experience in systems engineering or model-based design.
