Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Junior Microbiologist to join our laboratory team in Lagos. This pivotal role involves supporting essential microbiological testing and a range of laboratory activities, ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities
- Collect, prepare, label, and process samples for microbiological testing; prepare culture media, reagents, and laboratory materials; perform routine microbial culturing, enumeration, staining, microscopy, and other tests; apply proper aseptic techniques and laboratory safety procedures; operate and maintain basic laboratory equipment; accurately record test results, observations, and laboratory activities; monitor laboratory inventory, reagents, and consumables; maintain clean and contamination-controlled work areas; follow GLP, GMP, SOPs, and applicable safety requirements; report abnormal results, equipment faults, and safety concerns; support senior laboratory personnel and quality improvement activities.
Qualifications
- B.Sc. in Microbiology or a closely related biological science discipline. 0–2 years of relevant laboratory experience; fresh graduates with practical laboratory exposure may apply. Basic knowledge of microbial culturing, staining, microscopy, and aseptic techniques. Familiarity with GLP and GMP is an advantage. Good documentation and record-keeping skills. Strong attention to detail, teamwork, and willingness to learn.
