About the Role
GCIS invites unemployed youth to apply for entry-level Government positions, including a Junior Graphic Designer in Pretoria. This role supports the design manager and contributes to visual products across platforms. What You'll Do
- Collaborate with the design manager on the overall look and feel for all design products.
- Work as a graphic designer on various products per brief.
- Conceptualise and handle visual execution of all design briefs. Development of creative concepts. What We're Looking For
- 3-year National Diploma or Degree in Graphic Design or related qualification.
- Advantageous: General exposure in the field will be an added advantage.
- Knowledge: Basic knowledge in the use of an Apple Macintosh computer. Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign (animation and 3-D skills are a bonus). Ability to develop creative and innovative design concepts. Strong design skills and knowledge of designing for different platforms including digital and social media. Good organisational and communication skills. The ability to work under pressure, overtime and meet deadlines. Should be highly motivated with an eye for detail. Nice to Have
- Animation and 3-D skills are a bonus. Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: R269 499 per annum (Level 06).
