About the Role SDG Group is looking for Junior AI Engineers to join our AI & Data Science team. From day one, you will be fully integrated into an international delivery unit, working with multicultural teams on high-impact projects across sectors such as Fashion & Luxury, Utilities, Banking, Insurance, and Healthcare. This role offers direct exposure to Generative AI and advanced analytics projects, with opportunities to grow rapidly in a dynamic, international environment.

What You'll Do

• Manage the full lifecycle of an AI solution, from problem-solving and data cleaning to building production-ready systems.
• Implement a wide range of models and algorithms—from traditional statistical methods to Generative AI using LLMs and Transformers.
• Transition models from local environments to the cloud with an engineering mindset, ensuring scalability and reliability via AIOps.
• Work across AWS, GCP, and Azure, leveraging platforms like Databricks, SageMaker, and Vertex AI for large-scale data science needs.
• Translate complex datasets into actionable business insights and act as a bridge between technical data and client needs.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers to deploy models into live systems, ensuring they are not only smart but operational.

What We're Looking For

• Education: Master’s degree in a STEM field (Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, or related).
• Experience: Recent graduates are welcome, even with limited professional experience.
• Programming: Proficiency in R, Python and its ecosystem (NumPy, Pandas, scikit-learn).
• Technical Foundations: Familiarity with Git, virtual environments, and SQL/NoSQL databases.
• Machine Learning Basics: Understanding of core ML concepts (regression, classification, clustering, dimensionality reduction).
• Languages: English at a B2 level (this will be tested during the interview). Spanish is a plus.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Generative AI and large language models.
• Cloud platform experience (AWS, GCP, Azure) and tools like Databricks, Vertex AI, SageMaker.
• Experience working in international teams and willingness to travel.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: Indicative gross annual salary range: €26,000 - €32,000. The final offer will be determined based on technical skills, role experience, and selection outcomes, subject to internal criteria.
• Type of contract: Professional apprenticeship or permanent contract.
