Job title: Judicial Education & Performance Unit Coordinator

About the Role The New Jersey Judiciary seeks a decisive, goal-oriented professional to join the Judicial Education & Performance Unit. The role focuses on coordinating judicial education materials (including digital archives) and CLE service provider work to support statewide training needs, while maintaining confidentiality and BCLE compliance. This position may offer hybrid remote work in addition to in-office duties.

What You'll Do

  • Coordinate CLE service provider duties for unit events, maintain provider status, ensure BCLE compliance, and maintain audit trails.
  • Analyze practices to ensure all programming adheres to BCLE requirements.
  • Manage production of event materials, collaborating with judges and national expert faculty on logistics and content.
  • Maintain databases related to faculty, CLE credits, course attendees, and other event information.
  • Develop efficient workflows for processing post-event training documentation.
  • Conduct post-conference analysis and reconciliation to ensure performance standards and effective workflows.
  • Compile and organize educational materials (PowerPoint slides, manuals, bench cards) to ensure consistency with presentation standards.
  • Develop and maintain archives and inventory of educational materials.
  • Organize electronic files for materials to be included on Judicial Education internal and external sites.
  • Coordinate with trial division leadership to ensure materials are current; analyze education resources and advise unit leadership.
  • Create reports and establish performance standards to support these responsibilities.
  • Perform other projects and tasks as assigned by unit management.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and three years of professional experience, including in program development/coordination/analysis/administration and/or administrative research.
  • Demonstrated experience in administrative support, event coordination, or related field.
  • Strong organizational, analytic, and information management skills; excellent interpersonal and customer service abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and database management.
  • Ability to travel to training event venues throughout the state.
  • Expertise in digital technology (hardware/software/digital media).
  • Relevant experience in archive/library/museum collections and/or digital asset management.
  • Familiarity with digital preservation methods, cataloging metadata, and archival functions.
  • Knowledge or experience with software migration.
  • Substitution: Applicants without a bachelor’s degree may substitute additional paraprofessional/professional experience on a year-for-year basis (one year equals 30 semester hours); an associate degree plus two years of additional experience may substitute for a bachelor’s degree.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with archives/digital asset management and digital preservation methods.
  • Familiarity with metadata/cataloging and archival standards.
  • Prior experience with software migration.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary ranges: Schedule A: $59,661.54 to $96,767.80; Schedule B: $59,661.54 to $91,929.42. Starting salary typically at the minimum for new hires. Current Judiciary employees promoted/advanced receive a 5% base salary increase (not exceeding range max or minimum band as applicable).
