Job title: Journeyman Millwright
About the Role Georgia-Pacific's Camas, WA facility is seeking a Journeyman Millwright to join a team of skilled mechanics. You will perform preventative and corrective maintenance on industrial equipment, adhere to safety/environmental guidelines, and work in a team-centric environment. The role offers a starting pay of $44.71-$46.43/hour DOE with a $1.50/hour swing shift differential and a $3.00/hour graveyard differential, plus a $3000 sign-on bonus paid after 120 days.
What You'll Do
- Perform assigned preventative maintenance tasks
- Industrial maintenance (bearings set-up, optical-laser alignment, pump rebuilds, mounting and unmounting)
- Conduct preventative and corrective maintenance on all types of Industrial Equipment
- Adhere to plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures
- Assist crew members working in a team environment
- Keep work area clean before, after, and throughout shift
- Maintain safety guards on equipment and follow lock out/tag out procedures
- Perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing and/or pulling for up to 12 hours/day in a loud/noisy, hot, humid, dusty, greasy, high-volume environment
- Support safe working environment by adhering to safety rules and wearing appropriate PPE
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or GED
- 2+ years of industrial maintenance mechanical experience
- Experience reading and interpreting blueprints
Nice to Have
- Experience with reliability/precision maintenance
- Experience in the Pulp & Paper industry
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing motors, gearboxes, bearings, chains, sprockets, conveyors
- Experience troubleshooting hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Experience using heavy machinery (forklifts and cranes) with a working understanding of hand signals
- Industrial Maintenance in 2+ trades (Industrial Millwright, Welder, Pipefitter, Machinist, Lubrication Tech, etc.)
- Computer skills to generate, distribute and maintain maintenance records
- Industrial Mechanical Maintenance Certificate or completion of an approved maintenance mechanic apprenticeship program or equivalent
Compensation & Benefits
- Starting pay range: $44.71-$46.43 per hour DOE
- $3000 sign-on bonus paid after 120 days
