About the Role

This Journeyman Maintenance Electrician role supports production equipment and facility infrastructure at Watts in Germantown, WI. You will install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems from low voltage up to 600 volts, partner with engineering to install and commission new equipment, and ensure safety and uptime in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

What You'll Do

  • Analyze, diagnose, and troubleshoot CNC-based equipment and resolve electrical issues
  • Troubleshoot and maintain PLC-controlled manufacturing equipment
  • Troubleshoot FANUC robotics cells, including safety circuits and end-of-arm tooling
  • Diagnose electrical issues on presses, CNC machines, conveyors, and auxiliary equipment
  • Install and maintain motors, VFDs, servos, encoders, and motor control systems
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, ladder logic, one-lines, and machine documentation
  • Install, implement, and maintain facility and process power distribution systems
  • Maintain and troubleshoot panelboards, MCCs, transformers, feeders, grounding, and bonding systems
  • Build and install control panels
  • Support electrical requirements for new equipment installations, line moves, and process changes
  • Ensure all work complies with NEC, NFPA 70E, OSHA, and local electrical codes
  • Perform preventative maintenance and emergency repairs to minimize production downtime
  • Document electrical repairs, upgrades, and system modifications
  • Complete, manage, and schedule Preventative Maintenance (PM) program
  • Manage inventory of electrical supplies and contacts vendors as needed
  • Accountable for department metrics
  • Support new product development at maintenance level
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to install, integrate, and commission new equipment and production lines
  • Demonstrate proper use of department measuring instruments, gauges, and meters
  • Knowledge of Pneumatics and Hydraulics
  • Knowledge of mechanical & equipment processes
  • Complete Industrial Lift Certifications
  • Follow LOTO, arc-flash, and energized-work procedures
  • Mentor apprentices
  • Train department employees
  • Familiar with all department layouts within plant
  • Collaborate effectively with all team members across departments
  • Helps support other department functions as needed
  • Help create and maintain a positive work environment
  • Understand and abide by all company safety policies
  • Assume responsibility for other projects and duties as assigned by Manufacturing Supervisor or Company management
