Job Summary

MacLean-Fogg is hiring a Journeyman Electrician - 2nd Shift at our Farmington Hills, Michigan manufacturing facility. In this role, you will troubleshoot, repair, install, and maintain electrical systems and equipment to support safe, reliable manufacturing operations.

• Location: Farmington Hills, MI
• Work Arrangement: On-site
• Schedule: 2nd Shift, Monday-Friday, 3:00 PM-11:00 PM
• Pay: $27-$40/hour
• Other Compensation: $1.00/hour shift premium for 2nd Shift
• Employment Type: Full-time / Hourly
• Overtime: Occasional overtime may be required.

What You'll Do as a Journeyman Electrician

• Diagnose and repair electrical issues in wiring, switches, motors, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures using appropriate hand tools and testing instruments.
• Replace faulty switches, sockets, and other electrical-system components.
• Dismantle electrical machinery and replace defective electrical or mechanical parts, including gears, brushes, and armatures.
• Install and mount motors, transformers, lighting fixtures, and related electrical equipment, and complete circuits according to diagrams and specifications.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, work instructions, and other technical documentation while applying knowledge of the National Electrical Code.
• Inspect completed work for conformance with applicable local building and safety codes.
• Estimate labor and material needs for electrical projects and requisition electrical supplies and equipment as needed.
• Complete required documentation accurately and support 5S, safety, environmental, and quality policies and procedures.

What You'll Bring

Required Qualifications

• Valid Journeyman Electrician license or certification.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Journeyman Electrician in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
• Ability to interpret work instructions and technical documentation.
• Proficiency in reading electrical schematics and blueprints.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

This is an on-site industrial manufacturing role involving hands-on work with electrical systems, machinery, components, hand tools, and testing instruments. The position requires working in accordance with established safety procedures and applicable environmental and quality requirements.
