About this role

A proactive and customer service‑oriented security professional, the Executive Protection Agent will join the Executive Protection Field Operations Group to provide close protection and estate security for the CEO’s immediate family, the Executive Chairman, and other Tanium Executives as needed. The role requires trustworthy, well‑trained professionals who exercise consistent good judgement to protect leadership and those they protect.

Responsibilities

  • Incorporate Tanium mission and values into all decisions and actions
  • Make operational decisions that enhance safety for the principals
  • Support the Global Security mission, Executive Protection details, and Tanium Executives as needed
  • Demonstrate effective communication with principals, visitors, and team members
  • Be accountable for decisions, actions, and communications
  • Safeguard the CEO, their family, and their private property located at the residence
  • Promote and establish effective working relationships with principals, staff, and team members
  • Support EPFOG new hire and EPPAG cross-training
  • Collaborate on the development of EPFOG standard operating procedures
  • Maintain and input all pertinent information into security logs
  • Perform transports for the CEO’s family
  • Ensure EPFOG vehicles are maintained
  • Receive, document, and communicate all deliveries
  • Serve as the primary point of contact in place of EPFOG Team Lead when needed
  • Be ready to support other teams within the Global Security mission to safeguard Tanium’s people, assets, and reputation
  • Provide transportation for the CEO’s family upon request
  • Always conduct themselves in Tanium’s best interests
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Head of Executive Protection and Operations
  • Travel in support of the EPPAG
  • Monitor, track, and assist with all movements of principals
  • Occasionally operate and assist in maintaining the CEO’s boat
  • Occasionally perform duties in a corporate office environment

Requirements

  • BA/BS and/or equivalent work experience preferred
  • Industry experience in Government, Military, Law Enforcement, and/or 5+ years in a security role required
  • Specialty training or experience in Executive Protection and Estate Security required
  • CPR/First Aid/AED required
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • TX Concealed Handgun License (CPL) required
  • Preferred: completed recognized Executive Protection Course
  • Preferred: completed recognized Tactical/Evasive Driving Course
  • Preferred: Emergency Medical Technician (BLS) preferred
  • Demonstrated dependability, positive attitude, and good attendance
  • Authorized to work in the United States
  • Water safety/open water rescue/lifeguard training to be completed within 90 days of hire
  • Willingness to travel and support other teams as needed
