About this role
Allstate is seeking an experienced attorney to join its Special Investigations Unit (SIU) to combat insurance fraud. The role involves defending against fraudulent medical and insurance claims, pursuing affirmative litigation (including RICO actions), and representing the company in both state and federal courts.
Key Responsibilities:
Investigate and litigate insurance fraud and SIU cases. Handle RICO and other affirmative legal actions. Develop litigation strategies and negotiate complex legal matters. Draft motions, legal briefs, memoranda, and discovery documents. Conduct depositions and Examinations Under Oath (EUOs). Represent Allstate in arbitrations, mediations, hearings, and trials. Collaborate closely with Claims and the Special Investigations Unit.
