Job title: JMA Dome - Concert Event Staff - Temporary Part-Time
About the Role The Dome is seeking Part-Time Concert Event Staff to work on an as-needed basis for major events in the 2026-2027 academic year (June 2026–May 2027). As part of Syracuse University’s Major Concert events, you will work with the JMA Dome’s regular part-time Event Staff to ensure safe, orderly experiences for guests and staff during high-profile events.
What You'll Do
- Maintain access control by screening guests entering the stadium with metal detecting equipment and technology.
- Uphold the Clear Bag Policy and perform bag checks upon patron entry in compliance with policy.
- Monitor crowds for prohibited items; patrol areas within the stadium such as concert stages, stairs leading to the concert floor, barricades, GA Pit Entrances, artist walkways, backstage locations, and other areas as needed based on the Concert configuration and tour needs.
- Assist with undesired behavior and disturbances in the stadium; provide a safe and pleasant environment for all guests; aid in the orderly evacuation of the building if required.
- In all situations, perform duties in a courteous and professional manner.
What We're Looking For
- Must successfully complete a background check.
- Current NYS Security Guard License holders preferred but not required.
- Flexible and able to work events that on average last between 6 and 8 hours; events take place on nights, weekends, and some holidays; available to work all major concert events.
- Previous concert and large-scale events experience preferred but not required.

Compensation & Benefits
- Pay Range: $17.50 per hour.
- PPE will be provided and required to wear if needed.
- On-campus, in-person role with events scheduled at the Dome.
