Job title: Jefe de Aseguramiento de Calidad - Confidencial

About the Role The Quality Assurance Manager will lead the development, implementation and monitoring of Nutreco's internal QA plans and programs across markets. The role ensures full regulatory compliance with Food Safety HACCP and Food Defence standards, maintains relevant certificates, and provides leadership to the QA team to achieve quality targets for products and processes.

What You'll Do

  • Develops, implements, monitors, maintains and improves quality policies and quality control, HACCP and Food Safety/Food Defence programs in coordination with production, supply chain and other areas, ensuring an adequate QA system and certificate retention.
  • Oversees QA Laboratory Programs across facilities to meet company and customer requirements; ensures clear communication of QA requirements internally and externally.
  • Establishes and maintains the quality management system per relevant standards; drives continuous improvement and conducts risk-based assessments to minimize deficiencies.
  • Liais es with departments, collects and maintains QA data, ensuring data in the quality system is up-to-date.
  • Maintains and upgrades essential facility certifications and ensures reviews incorporate new requirements.
  • Drafts procedures for incoming QC, in-process controls and disposition of non-conforming products to minimize costs while ensuring quality.
  • Develops and manages Customer QA relationships and documents Ingredient and Final Product specs in systems to meet Nutreco and customer expectations.
  • Promotes QA programs across the organization; organizes QA boards; participates in crisis teams and conducts root cause analyses as needed.
  • Manages complaints, performs root cause analysis, initiates corrective/preventive actions, and coordinates with Customer Services/Sales on major issues.
  • Organizes and leads audits to ensure compliance with standards and schemes.

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience leading QA/QC teams in manufacturing/food environments; strong leadership and people development skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of HACCP, Food Safety and Food Defense standards, and maintaining internal/external certifications.
  • Experience with Quality Management Systems, quality control of incoming and manufactured goods, and lab oversight.
  • Ability to drive continuous improvement using risk-based assessments; data collection and analysis; effective cross-functional collaboration (production, supply chain, sales, R&D).
  • Experience handling customer relationships, audits, crisis situations, root cause analyses and corrective actions.
