JDE HR/Payroll Consultant
6 Month Contract

Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced JDE HR/Payroll Consultant to provide functional and technical support for the JD Edwards Human Capital Management (HCM), Payroll, and Benefits modules. This role will play a critical part in supporting payroll operations, benefits administration, system configuration, compliance initiatives, and year-end processing activities. The ideal candidate will possess strong JD Edwards expertise, deep payroll knowledge, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and efficient HR and payroll operations.
Key Responsibilities

Provide day-to-day support and administration of JD Edwards HCM, Payroll, and Benefits modules.

Manage payroll configuration and maintenance, including pay codes, PDBA setup, payroll calendars, and payroll processing rules.

Support annual year-end payroll processing, tax updates, and compliance-related activities.

Implement and maintain payroll adjustments related to union agreements, pay rule changes, escalations, and regulatory requirements.

Configure and maintain payroll rules to support Calendar Year 2027 updates and ongoing business requirements.

Troubleshoot system issues, analyze root causes, and implement solutions to ensure payroll accuracy and system stability.

Develop, execute, and support system testing for enhancements, upgrades, patches, and compliance updates.

Partner with HR, Payroll, Benefits, and IT teams to gather requirements, support business operations, and drive continuous process improvements.

Document system configurations, business processes, and support procedures.

Recommend best practices and process enhancements to improve payroll efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.

Required Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Human Resources, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.
Experience
- 5+ years of experience supporting JD Edwards HCM and Payroll systems in a complex enterprise environment.
Technical Skills:

Strong experience with JD Edwards HCM, Payroll, and Benefits modules.

Hands-on expertise with payroll processing, benefits administration, PDBA configuration, and pay rule setup.

Experience supporting year-end payroll activities, tax updates, and compliance requirements.

Knowledge of payroll regulations and complex payroll environments, including union payroll requirements.

Ability to analyze business requirements and translate them into effective system configurations and solutions.

Experience performing system testing, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.

Strong understanding of payroll workflows, employee lifecycle processes, and HRIS best practices.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Experience working in Agile or project-based environments is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience supporting large-scale or multi-state payroll operations.

Knowledge of JD Edwards upgrades, implementations, or payroll modernization initiatives.

Experience working with HR, Finance, and IT stakeholders on cross-functional projects.

Ability to lead process improvement initiatives and recommend best practices for payroll operations.

Experience with reporting, data analysis, and payroll reconciliation activities.

Strong stakeholder management and user support skills.
