Java Technical Lead/Architect

Project description

We are seeking an experienced Java Technical Lead to lead the technical development of the Platform Modernization Project for Investment Bank . This is a critical role that will drive the modernization and digital transformation initiatives for Bank's technology platform, leveraging cloud-native architecture and microservices.

Responsibilities

• Define technical standards and best practices for backend development using Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and related technologies
• Lead code reviews and establish coding standards to ensure quality, maintainability, and performance
• Ensure on-time delivery of technical components while maintaining quality standards
• Manage technical risks and provide mitigation strategies to stakeholders
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams including Product, QA, Operations, and Infrastructure
• Drive the adoption of CI/CD practices and DevOps methodologies

Skills

• Must have

• 12+ years of software development experience with Java

• 3+ years of experience in a technical leadership or architect role

• Must have worked in Platform Modernization/Migration Project for Financial Services or Banking industry

• Java Development

• Strong backend Java skills in Microservices, Spring Boot, Collections, Low Latency , Multithreading, and Concurrency

• Infrastructure & DevOps

• Good Understanding of:

• Deployment processes and how to deploy code to servers

• Server connectivity and management

• Basic system resource management (RAM, CPU allocation)

• Containerization (Kubernetes, Podman)

• Pipeline creation and CI/CD processes

• Experience in Azure
