About the role
We are looking for a Software Engineer with experience in Java and MuleSoft to own backend services and platform-level engineering supporting a Case object ecosystem. This person strengthens service logic, data processing, and platform reliability alongside Salesforce Service Cloud integrations. Production troubleshooting, incident support, and on-call rotation are part of the role.
What you will do
- Own backend Java services and platform-level engineering supporting the Case object ecosystem, including service logic, data processing, and platform reliability for case-related features.
- Contribute to active engineering efforts across daemons owned by CES CS/Ops (integration layer focus) and Mulesoft capabilities owned by CES CS/Ops (integration layer focus).
- Support stakeholders and their reps in Service Cloud, partnering with CS Ops, BizOps, JS Ops, FinSys, and other orgs on integration-related issues affecting Cases and case workflows.
- Diagnose and resolve API/integration failures impacting downstream Salesforce Service Cloud processes.
- Participate in the DFR (Developer First Responder) rotation and Ops Review process as a core, non-optional responsibility.
- Triage critical alerts related to backend service/platform health and monitor platform health KPIs for core Java services.
- Handle "keep-the-lights-on" injects, track open incidents, and document findings in Confluence.
- Keep sprint data current, including availability, carryover, and newly assigned points.
- Maintain transparency on work status via tickets, standup, and Slack; follow established engineering and DevOps processes; collaborate effectively across the team and partner orgs; and complete assigned work reliably and on schedule.
Must haves
- 3-5 years of experience as a software engineer.
- Experience with Java.
- Experience with Mulesoft.
- Backend software engineering experience.
- Hands-on API/integration experience.
- Production troubleshooting and incident support experience.
- Experience with production monitoring, alert triage, and service/platform health.
- Experience in diagnosing and resolving API/integration failures.
- Upper-intermediate English level.
