Java Lead

About the Role Valce Talent Solutions seeks a Java Lead to architect and deliver Java-based applications with React/Angular front-ends in a hybrid Mexico City environment. The role focuses on leading development efforts, migrating from monolithic architectures to microservices, and integrating cloud-based and on-prem systems while collaborating with business and technical teams. What You'll Do

• Lead the design, development and delivery of Java-based applications (Java 8/11/17, Spring Boot) and single-page applications using React or Angular.
• Engage with business leaders, product owners, and technical teams to translate requirements into architectural blueprints and drive solution alignment.
• Facilitate workshops and design sessions to align cross-functional teams on solutions.
• Integrate cloud-based apps with legacy applications or other platforms; work with REST APIs, SOAP services, and messaging systems such as Kafka.
• Apply design patterns and engineering best practices; promote TDD/ATDD/BDD or other test practices.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Docker, shell scripts, Jenkins, and related DevOps tools.
• Work with cloud services (GCP, Azure) and Kubernetes clusters; manage cloud and on-prem databases.
• Leverage quality tools such as BlackDuck, Fortify, and AquaSec; participate in migrating monolithic apps to microservices. What We're Looking For
• 10+ years of experience in Java-based applications and React/Angular.
• Java Lead experience for at least 3+ years.
• Hands-on experience with Java 8/11/17 and Spring Boot; experience with single-page applications.
• Strong ability to integrate cloud-based apps with legacy or multi-platform environments.
• Hands-on experience with SOAP-based services, REST APIs, and messaging systems such as Kafka.
• Experience applying design patterns and engineering best practices.
• Experience with TDD, ATDD, BDD or related testing practices.
• Experience with DevOps tools: Docker, shell scripts, Jenkins, CI/CD.
• Experience with at least one Cloud Service (GCP or Azure) and Kubernetes (3+ years).
• Strong experience with cloud and on-prem databases.
• Knowledge of quality tools such as BlackDuck, Fortify, AquaSec.
• Experience migrating monolithic apps to microservices.
• Ability to engage with business leaders, product owners and technical teams to gather requirements and translate them into architectural blueprints.
• Ability to facilitate workshops and design sessions to align cross-functional teams.
