About the Role DXC Luxoft is launching a new project for a global leader in energy transmission and distribution, with a primary focus on the APAC region. The project delivers a comprehensive electricity market management platform for a national TSO, covering grids such as grid congestion management, balancing, cross-border coordination, and Flexibility services. The system enables near real-time and forecast-based balancing by integrating grid, generation, and market data to determine optimal system states, supports day-ahead and intraday planning, and real-time actions (balancing, redispatch). It includes advanced market optimization, asset and flexibility management, data integration, and full settlement capabilities, ensuring regulatory compliance and end-to-end support for electricity market operations. The enterprise IT system runs on Windows/Linux and is built on a Spring Framework and RDBMS, utilizing technologies such as Java, Spring Frameworks, Hibernate, web services, RDBMS, Docker, Kubernetes, and Angular.
What You'll Do
- Design, develop, integrate and maintain components of the electricity market management platform used by a national TSO in APAC, covering grid congestion management, balancing, cross-border coordination, and Flexibility services.
- Implement near real-time and forecast-based balancing by integrating grid, generation, and market data to determine optimal system states.
- Support day-ahead and intraday planning and real-time actions (balancing, redispatch), combining automated optimization with operator intervention.
- Build and optimize modules for market operations, asset and flexibility management, data integration, and full settlement, ensuring regulatory compliance and operational efficiency.
- Work on Windows/Linux environments, using Java and Spring Frameworks, Hibernate, web services, RDBMS; deploy with Docker and Kubernetes; develop front-end components with Angular.
- Collaborate with global teams and client stakeholders in APAC to deliver a robust platform.
What We're Looking For
- Strong experience with Java and Spring Frameworks; Hibernate; REST/web services; and relational databases (RDBMS).
- Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes; familiarity with Angular for UI components.
- Exposure to or interest in electricity market operations, grid management, balancing, cross-border coordination, and settlement processes.
- Ability to work on enterprise IT systems running on Windows and Linux; good problem-solving skills and collaboration in cross-cultural teams.
- APAC region focus or willingness to work across time zones.
