About the Role Capgemini is seeking a Java Developer (Kotlin) to join our development team in Lisbon (hybrid work). Your role will be to support the migration of insurance software from a monolithic architecture to microservices and to develop backend services using Java or Kotlin in a desktop-oriented environment.
What You'll Do
- Support the migration of insurance software from a monolithic architecture to microservices.
- Develop and maintain backend services using Java or Kotlin in a desktop-oriented environment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a hybrid work model to ensure high-quality delivery.
- Troubleshoot, optimize, and improve system performance throughout the migration process.
What We're Looking For
- At least 5 years of experience with Java and Kotlin (desktop-oriented development).
- Previous work with software migration, ideally to microservices.
- Good communication skills and ability to work in hybrid teams.
- English level B2.
- Availability for hybrid work in Lisbon.

- Experience with software migration to microservices is a plus.
