About the Role Join Merkle Barcelona’s Java Graduate Scheme as a Java Developer trainee. You’ll be part of a Scrum-based development team in Barcelona, receive training and mentoring to become a full-stack Java consultant, and contribute to high-quality software for international clients. What You'll Do
- Be part of a Scrum development team in Barcelona and adopt agile values and behaviours
- Develop software for backend and frontend, ensuring quality with tests in collaboration with QA and designers
- Learn and apply programming best practices, and gain exposure to a variety of Java project types
- Shadow experienced developers and work on projects for an international client portfolio
- Participate in formal training and on-the-job learning through Merkle University and direct mentorship What We're Looking For
- Recently graduated with an IT-related degree (Bachelor or Master) or willing to switch careers
- Interest in creating high-quality software and working in an agile environment
- Intellectual curiosity, ambition, and a strong team spirit with the ability to work autonomously
- Good English communication skills; EU citizen or EU work permit; willing to travel occasionally within Europe Nice to Have
- Interest in both frontend and backend Java development and a desire to learn across the full stack Compensation & Benefits
