About the Role Java ABSI is seeking a Java Developer to join a team that delivers Java-based solutions for dozens of clients. Our professionals work across the Java ecosystem, including JVM languages like Scala, Groovy and Clojure, and are proficient in JavaScript and SQL development. You will contribute to projects across architectures ranging from high-load enterprise systems to compact applications using a broad set of Java technologies.
What You'll Do
- Work across the Java ecosystem, including JVM languages (Scala, Groovy, Clojure) and JavaScript/SQL development to deliver client solutions
- Utilize and integrate a wide range of Java technologies and frameworks (e.g., Spring, Struts2, JSF, Grails, Lift, Wicket) and build REST/SOAP services
- Collaborate in design, development, testing (JUnit/TestNG), and deployment on application servers (Tomcat, Jetty, JBoss, WebLogic, GlassFish) across enterprise to smaller-scale projects
- Contribute to code quality, performance tuning, and documentation using reporting tools (JasperReports, BIRT, iText) and other libraries
What We're Looking For
- Java expertise and familiarity with JVM languages like Scala, Groovy, Clojure; strong JavaScript and SQL skills
- Experience with Spring and other Java technologies; knowledge of EJB, JMS, CDI, JTA; ORM tools (Hibernate, EclipseLink, MyBatis) and JDBC
- Experience with app servers and databases (Tomcat, Jetty, JBoss, WebLogic, GlassFish, Oracle, MSSQL) and data integration tools like SSIS
- Familiarity with testing (JUnit, TestNG) and reporting (JasperReports, BIRT)
- Ability to work with clients and in fast-paced environments; strong communication skills
