About the Role Xylem is seeking a Java Backend Developer with basic AWS knowledge to build backend services using Core Java, Spring Boot, and related technologies. This hybrid role is based in Chennai or Bangalore and focuses on delivering innovative water solutions.
What You'll Do
- Develop backend services using Core Java, applying design patterns and multi-threading techniques.
- Work with MongoDB for data storage and write unit tests.
- Leverage AWS services (S3, SQS) and infrastructure as code (Terraform).
- Integrate with Bitbucket and SonarCloud; work with Spring Framework and Spring Boot.
- Coordinate with frontend teams for basic Angular TypeScript, JavaScript, and jQuery capabilities.
What We're Looking For
- Strong Core Java skills with problem-solving ability.
- Experience with Java design patterns and multi-threading.
- Hands-on experience with MongoDB and unit testing.
- AWS knowledge (S3, SQS) and Terraform familiarity.
- Experience with Bitbucket, SonarCloud, and Spring Framework/Spring Boot (limited).
- Basic front-end skills: Angular TypeScript, JavaScript, and jQuery.
- Eligibility: B.Tech or equivalent degree; 1 to 4 years of relevant industry experience.
