Job title: IT Technician
Summary We are seeking an experienced IT Technician to provide technical support and manage the organisation’s IT systems and infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain and troubleshoot computers, software and IT equipment
- Provide technical support to staff, students and management
- Maintain network, internet connectivity and communication systems
- Troubleshoot hardware, software and network issues
- Manage user accounts, access permissions and system security
- Support printers, scanners, projectors, CCTV and other IT equipment
- Perform system updates, backups and security patches
- Maintain IT asset records and technical documentation
- Assist with IT projects and implementation of new technologies.
Requirements
- HND / BSc Degree in Computer Science, IT, Computer Engineering or a related field
- 3–5 years’ relevant IT experience
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Experience in network administration and systems maintenance
- Good communication skills
- Maritime, Marine or Educational Institution experience is an added advantage
- IT certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA A+, Network+ or MCP are an added advantage
- Must be resident in Delta State.
