  • Volt is immediately hiring for IT Support Technician in Memphis, TN

As an IT Support Technician, you will:

  • Primary focus is deskside support of desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, conference room technologies, and related end-user infrastructure.

  • Delivers world-class, on-site IT service to staff, covering the full lifecycle of end-user technology: onboarding and setup, upgrade and installation, in-person and remote troubleshooting, repair and replacement, asset recovery, and protection of hardware and software.

  • Prepare devices for deployment by wiping data, reimaging, and testing functionality.

  • Configure user profiles, network connectivity, and peripheral devices.

  • Stage, schedule, and deploy devices to end-users.

  • Diagnose and resolve basic hardware and software issues.

  • Verify deployment success and resolve post-imaging errors or failures.

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks.

  • Maintain records of reimaged devices.

  • Update asset management systems.

  • Document procedures and troubleshooting steps.

  • Provide 1st and 2nd tier support to SpaceX employees at the desk, on the production floor, and in conference rooms.

  • Troubleshoot software and hardware issues in person and remotely, with a sense of urgency appropriate to mission-critical and sensitive systems.

  • Assist with employee onboarding and initial workstation setup; support upgrades, moves, adds, and changes.

  • Communicate timelines, status, and resolution clearly to technical and non-technical users.

  • This is a full-time, Contract opportunity.

  • Duration – 6 months

The ideal candidate will have:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Associate degree preferred.

  • 1–2 years of experience in IT support or similar role.

  • Proficiency with imaging tools and OS deployment.

  • Familiarity with Windows, macOS, Linux.

  • Basic networking knowledge.

  • Hardware troubleshooting.

  • Preferred Skills & Qualifications

  • Bilingual English and Spanish preferred/ needed.

  • Technical certifications (i.e. A+, Network+, MCSE).

  • Pay range: $30.00 - $33.00 per hour

  • Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
