Job title: IT Support Technician I
About the Role The IT Support Technician I serves as the initial point of contact for tier 1 technical support, assisting hospital staff onsite and remotely to maintain smooth IT operations. The role also performs shift duties, routine system maintenance, and other computer operation tasks, working with the Service Desk to resolve issues before escalation.
What You'll Do
- Provide first-level IT support to hospital staff onsite and remotely
- Perform shift duties and routine system maintenance
- Document issues and resolutions and follow established procedures
- Collaborate with the Service Desk team to resolve incidents locally before escalation
- Assist with PCs, printers, networking, and peripheral devices
- Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to security and confidentiality requirements
What We're Looking For
- Regular attendance, reliability, and punctuality
- Strong customer service and organizational skills
- Experience with Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office Suite, and MS Edge
- Ability to identify, research, document, and resolve problems
- Knowledge of PCs, printers, networking, and peripheral devices
- Typing skills; ability to work under pressure and independently with limited supervision
- Documentation skills and ability to follow written instructions
- Education: Associate’s degree or equivalent experience preferred; CompTIA+ certificate preferred
- Experience: One (1) year of experience as a helpdesk specialist or related computer experience; related education/experience may be substituted at department leadership’s discretion

Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly wage range: $23.59 - $35.02 USD
- Part-time/per-diem schedule with onsite responsibilities
- UFCW compensation grade (U054)
