About the Role Mercor is building a new, more accurate version of ONET—the U.S. government's framework for describing occupations and the tasks they involve. We are gathering input directly from experienced practitioners to improve how the work of information technology project managers is described. In this role, you will complete a one-time online survey/interview about your day-to-day work as an IT project manager. It takes up to 30 minutes. There may be an optional follow-up survey, task, or short interview afterward, which would be paid separately.
What You'll Do Complete a one-time online survey/interview about your day-to-day work as an IT project manager (SOC 15-1299.09). The initial task is approximately 30 minutes; there may be optional paid follow-up tasks later. This engagement is as an independent contractor and fully remote.
What We're Looking For 2+ years of experience working specifically as an IT project manager (SOC 15-1299.09 — Information Technology Project Managers). U.S.-based; currently employed as an IT project manager, or recently employed in the role. You must have actually held an IT project manager role. Students or individuals with only general IT exposure are not a fit unless they have genuinely worked as an IT project manager. Compensation & Benefits Pay is set in hourly terms (approximately $57/hour) with payments weekly via Stripe or Wise based on services rendered. This is a fully remote independent contractor role; projects may be extended or concluded early based on needs and performance. Mercor emphasizes the opportunity to work with AI research projects and leading researchers.
