Job Description
The IT Portfolio Manager provides portfolio governance and hands-on project delivery for the APAC IT Business Partner Hub. Reporting to the APAC IT Business Partner Hub Lead and based in Manila (a Global Complementary Capacity location), the role develops, tracks and reports on the region's IT project portfolio while also managing delivery of regional projects — including Corporate Real Estate (CRE) projects such as office re-fits and project offices.
It is a role sized to APAC's portfolio: a manager who is equally comfortable running portfolio governance and stepping in to manage projects hands-on when capacity requires — so the balance of governance and delivery work flexes with demand. The role leads the region's IT Project Manager(s) and works closely with the Regional IT Business Partners and the other regional hubs
Responsibilities
Portfolio governance and reporting
Develop, track and report key demand and project metrics, producing IT portfolio dashboards for all regional projects to support planning cycles and reviews.
Track and report regional CAPEX and OPEX across the project portfolio, ensuring completeness and accuracy of data.
Support pre-Demand reviews with the Regional IT Business Partners to agree, approve and prioritise regional demand before formal demand management.
Improve project and portfolio management (PPM) maturity across the region, and harmonise practice with the other regional hubs.
Project delivery (hands-on)
Manage the delivery of regional projects — including CRE projects (office re-fits, project offices) — to time, budget and quality.
Provide day-to-day project management: planning, risk and issue management, stakeholder communication and status reporting.
Assist project managers with issue resolution, risk mitigation and escalation.
Act as project manager directly when regional project-management capacity is constrained — stepping in to lead delivery hands-on, so the role's balance of portfolio-governance and hands-on project work flexes according to demand.
Ensure regional projects are sponsored, prioritised, budgeted, defined and monitored in a consistent and effective way.
Health, safety and compliance
Uphold health & safety standards across all project delivery, including site-based and out-of-hours working requirements and local in-country H&S requirements.
Ensure regional adherence to relevant IT compliance standards, audit requirements and policies.
Supervisory responsibility
Lead, direct and develop the region's IT Project Manager(s) — prioritising assignments, directing work and supporting talent development.

Qualifications

Five years of relevant project, portfolio or program management experience, with a strong hands-on project-delivery track record.

Experience producing portfolio dashboards, financial (CAPEX/OPEX) tracking and management reporting.

Experience directing or coordinating project managers.

Experience delivering projects with a significant IT component; Corporate Real Estate / fit-out project experience an asset.

Experience working in a matrixed, regional or global organisation.

Strong analytical, communication, stakeholder-management and problem-solving skills.

Proficiency in English (spoken and written); additional regional languages an asset.

PMP / PRINCE2 and portfolio / PPM (e.g. MoP, P3O) certifications an asset.
