About the Role
As an IT/OT Terminal Support Engineer, you will play a critical role in supporting the technology systems that enable uninterrupted terminal operations. Working within the IT function, you will provide day-to-day support for both Information Technology (IT) and Operational Technology (OT) environments, ensuring stable, secure, and reliable services across terminal operations. You will collaborate with local and regional teams, business users, and external vendors to resolve incidents, maintain equipment, and support continuous operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Provide end-user support for hardware, software, access management, cabling, and peripheral-related issues across the terminal.

Support and maintain OT systems including CCTV, OCR, gate kiosks, access control systems, radios, reefer monitoring solutions, and Vehicle-Mounted Terminals (VMTs).

Configure, deploy, troubleshoot, and maintain IT assets including desktops, laptops, tablets, mobile devices, printers, and structured cabling.

Manage incidents, service requests, and changes through ServiceNow while meeting defined service levels.

Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot infrastructure, network connectivity, fiber, and cabling issues.

Coordinate and supervise external vendors performing installation, maintenance, and repair activities on-site.

Contribute to cybersecurity, documentation, asset management, and continuous improvement initiatives that support terminal uptime and operational reliability.

Demonstrate a strong continuous improvement mindset and a commitment to finding smarter, safer, and more effective ways of working.

Hold a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telematics, or a related technical discipline, or bring equivalent relevant experience.

Have at least 3–5 years of hands-on experience supporting IT infrastructure, end-user technologies, and systems administration in a medium-to-large operational environment.

Bring experience supporting operational or industrial technologies such as CCTV, access control systems, VMTs, OCR solutions, radios, or other field-based technologies.

Possess strong troubleshooting skills across Windows environments, networking fundamentals, structured cabling, and endpoint technologies.

Have experience working within ITSM/ITIL service management processes and tools.

Communicate effectively in Spanish and English while collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Be comfortable working independently in an industrial environment while supporting business-critical operations.
Job Details
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent, Onsite Location: Moín, Limón, Costa Rica Work Schedule: Rotating two-shift day pattern (no night or weekend shifts) On-Call Requirement: Participation in an on-call rotation is required to support critical incidents and maintenance activities outside standard working hours.
