About the Role
As the IT Manager for Zalando's fulfillment center in Bydgoszcz, you will lead the on-site IT team (6 specialists) and ensure reliable technical systems and infrastructure that support daily warehouse operations. You will partner with local stakeholders and act as the owner of IT support and infrastructure for the site, driving continuous improvement and innovation.
What You'll Do
- Lead and develop the on-site IT team of 6 specialists to deliver high-quality IT support and infrastructure for the fulfillment center.
- Ensure flawless operation of IT systems in the 145,000 m2 highly automated warehouse; plan and prioritize maintenance, IT services and projects in line with Zalando standards.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with the international Warehouse IT team, site teams, partners, local service providers, and the wider business; act as the local IT expert and drive a robust local IT service operation.
- Drive continuous innovation by acting as a business consultant on IT-related local projects across the site.
- Travel up to 20% to support operations and projects.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor-level degree with at least 3-5 years of experience in a similar IT leadership role.
- Business fluent in Polish and English.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with passion for technology; strong communication; team player who connects with others.
- Strong analytical abilities; data-driven decision making; ability to measure success and minimize risks.
- Hands-on problem-solving mentality; ability to implement efficient solutions.
- Experience with Google tools; project management software is a plus.
- Willingness to travel up to 20%.
