IT Finance Systems Specialist

About the Role Accelleron is strengthening its Finance IT capabilities and seeks an IT Finance Systems Specialist to join the global IT organization. This full-time role is fully remote within Poland, with occasional travel to Baden, Switzerland. You will help deliver, operate, and continuously improve SAP and non-SAP finance applications, gaining hands-on experience in application ownership, system integrations, and finance process automation.

What You'll Do

• Finance Systems & Application Support: act as a key IT contact for selected non-SAP finance applications; support functional/operational ownership; collaborate with finance stakeholders to translate requirements into system changes; maintain documentation; provide day-to-day incident and service request support; analyze issues and contribute to continuous improvement.
• SAP & Interface Coordination: support SAP ERP processes (S/4HANA or ECC) and their integration with non-SAP systems; coordinate interfaces and data flows; assist in troubleshooting integration issues; support testing and validation during changes, upgrades, or new implementations.
• Project Delivery & Change Coordination: assist IT projects across SAP and non-SAP applications; track progress and risks; coordinate activities between finance, IT, and vendors; aid in testing, releases, and go-live activities; support change communication and user enablement.
• Automation & Continuous Improvement: help initiatives aimed at automation and optimization of finance processes; identify opportunities to improve efficiency, data consistency, and user experience; participate in pilots or rollouts of new tools.
• Stakeholder & Vendor Collaboration: serve as main contact between finance users, IT teams, and vendors; coordinate vendor activities and follow-ups; manage external contracts for licenses and services; assist with invoice approvals and budget planning input.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business Informatics, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in IT roles supporting finance systems, SAP environments, or business applications.
• Hands-on experience with non-SAP finance applications and their integration with SAP ERP.
• Basic to intermediate experience with SAP S/4HANA or SAP ECC, preferably FI/CO.
• Understanding of core finance processes (AP, AR, GL, Asset Accounting, Treasury, Tax, Intercompany).
• Practical experience in managing or coordinating IT projects, including planning, tracking, risks, and stakeholder coordination.
• Experience with interfaces, data integrations, or middleware (e.g. SAP CPI or similar) is an advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; structured approach to issue resolution.
• Good communication and ability to collaborate in international, remote teams.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and eager-to-learn mindset with an interest in finance systems and digital transformation.
• Fluency in English; German is an asset.

Nice to Have

• Experience with interfaces, data integrations, or middleware (e.g., SAP CPI) is an advantage.
