Job title: IT Engineer
About the Role Site IT Engineer will support the digital and infrastructure operations of MOLEX OSBU manufacturing sites, ensuring stable IT infrastructure and production-related systems. The role provides first-level technical support and aims to enable efficient production through reliable, high-availability IT services, collaborating with Global IT in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
What You'll Do
- Manage and maintain site-level IT infrastructure, including LAN/WAN, wireless networks, and end-user devices, ensuring high availability for production operations.
- Provide L1 technical support for both office and shopfloor environments, ensuring timely resolution of incidents in alignment with SLA requirements and minimizing production impact.
- Support manufacturing systems and shopfloor IT devices, including troubleshooting and daily operation support.
- Ensure reliable network performance to support production activities and respond quickly to network-related incidents.
- Implement and operate IT solutions following OSBU IT standards, while coordinating with OSBU IT on network architecture, security policies, and system improvements.
- Support IT deployment for capacity expansion projects, including production line setup, relocation, and new site build-out, ensuring readiness aligned with project timelines.
- Analyze recurring issues, propose improvement actions, and drive continuous improvement to enhance system stability and operational efficiency.
- Maintain IT documentation, asset records, and comply with OSBU IT governance and cybersecurity requirements.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in Site IT or manufacturing IT environments.
- Strong knowledge of network technologies, IT infrastructure, and troubleshooting in production environments.
- Hands-on experience supporting shopfloor IT devices and systems.
- Familiar with Windows systems, network operations.
