IT Business Analyst

Overview

The IT Business Analyst role is with Recruiting Company. The candidate should hold a bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Numerate Science, or a related field and have 2–3 years of post-qualification experience. Experience in the Insurance Services Sector is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Define the business problem and primary objectives of new projects.
• Collect, analyze and validate business or user requirements.
• Create functional requirements in use cases and coordinate requirements walk-throughs and signoffs, verifying with user representatives that use cases and process models accurately reflect business needs.
• Act as an interface between end-users, the development team, and the technical support team.
• Manage projects, develop project plans, monitor performance, and produce IT project documentation while ensuring tasks are completed in a timely manner.
• Evaluate potential software solutions, including off-the-shelf and open-source components, and assess system architecture to ensure alignment with business requirements.
• Conduct market intelligence research, evaluate business processes, anticipate requirements, identify areas for improvement, and develop and implement solutions.
• Perform requirements and data analysis using Business Intelligence tools.

Requirements

• Minimum 2–3 years of post-qualification experience; experience in the Insurance Services Sector is preferred.
• Previous experience in Business Analysis or Systems Analysis.
• Professional qualifications such as CBAP, PBA, CCBA, or AAC are an added advantage.
• Proven experience in eliciting requirements and project management.
• Experience analyzing data to draw business-relevant conclusions and in data visualization techniques and tools.
• Ability to use Business Intelligence tools such as Power BI, Qlik Sense, Google Analytics, etc.
• Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including technical writing.
• Ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions.
• Experience creating detailed reports and delivering presentations.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• A track record of following through on commitments and strong planning, organizational, and time-management skills.
