About this role
We are looking for an IT Architect to support the design and development of complex enterprise IT systems, application and data architecture within a financial services environment. The role focuses on defining architectural standards, designing scalable solutions using SOA, REST APIs, and ESB integrations, and preparing technical documentation and models with Enterprise Architect, UML, BPMN 2.0, and TOGAF principles. The architect will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, analysts, and development teams to guide technology decisions, support system implementations, and ensure architectural consistency across enterprise applications and integration projects.

Review and validate proposed technical solutions

Create and maintain architecture documentation

Manage the enterprise architecture repository

Define and review architectural principles

Prepare UML and BPMN diagrams

Work with business teams to understand requirements

Cooperate with Analysts and Development Teams

Support technology decisions and solution selection

Advise stakeholders on application integration and data management

Ensure solutions are aligned with enterprise architecture principles

Requirements
-
Minimum 3 years commercial experience in an equivalent IT Architect role

Practical enterprise architecture experience
-
Strong understanding of application architecture

Strong understanding of data architecture
-
Experience designing enterprise IT systems

SOA architecture
-
REST-based integrations
-
Experience with system integration and enterprise service buses (ESB)

Enterprise Architect tool

UML modelling and documentation

BPMN 2.0

Knowledge of TOGAF

Experience creating architecture documentation
