IR Technician
ABM Industries is seeking a Test Assistant (IR) to join our team. The IR technician is responsible for safe and efficient installation, testing, and maintenance of electrical power distribution equipment for customers in the assigned territory. In this role you will travel approximately 50% of the time, and, working under the supervision of Level III or IV Certified NETA technicians or electrical foreman, are responsible for the performance and management of routine tasks and projects, record keeping, evaluation of test data, and preparation of field service reports. Pay $35-$40 Hourly rate, plus overtime. The pay listed is the hourly rate for this position. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Travel to customer sites to inspect, test (perform IR scans), troubleshoot, perform start-up and collect data on electrical systems.
- Assist Level III and IV certified NETA technicians and or Electrical Foreman to inspect, test, troubleshoot and service low, medium, and high voltage switchgear, relays, circuit breakers, transformers, sub-stations, and related equipment.
- Complete Job Hazard Analyses including but not limited to arc-flash and shock analyses
- Document test results and complete field reports.
- Maintain strict compliance to regulatory laws
