Job title: iOS Engineer
About the Role At Compass, we are building an end-to-end platform to empower residential real estate agents and delight buyers and sellers. We are seeking an iOS engineer to help build a mobile platform that enhances the home buying/selling experience. You will collaborate with product and design, contribute to team design and scoping, and independently deliver features with guidance while upholding software engineering best practices.
What You'll Do
- Work in a startup-like environment building agile products and services
- Collaborate with engineers, product, and design to successfully launch projects solving real-world customer problems
- Work independently and deliver features with some guidance, weighing technical trade-offs and recommending solutions
- Perform code reviews, participate in design reviews, and write high-quality tests
- Apply testable, maintainable, and stable approaches to your work
- Maintain high standards of code quality and operational rigor
- Develop expertise in one or more components within your team's domain
- Create clear documentation (diagrams, service descriptions, decisions, runbooks)
What We're Looking For
- BS in CS or equivalent practical experience
- 2+ years of professional iOS development experience using Swift and shipping apps to the App Store
- Familiarity with modern Swift development practices, including SwiftUI and Swift Concurrency
- Exposure to reactive programming frameworks is a plus
- Ability to collaborate with Product, Design and Engineering stakeholders
- Knowledge of CS fundamentals and iOS design patterns and best practices
- Keen eye for design and attention to detail
- Experience integrating with RESTful backend services
- Experience with Scrum/Agile development methodologies
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Nice to Have
- Exposure to reactive programming frameworks is a plus
Compensation & Benefits
- Base pay range: $126,000 - $141,000 per year, may vary based on experience and location
