About the Role Greenhill’s New York-based Investment Banking group is seeking an experienced Investment Banking Vice President to join its M&A team. This group focuses on M&A across sectors and provides buy-side, sell-side, and strategic advisory services. A VP will design, originate, structure, and execute M&A transactions and contribute to pitch materials and client deliverables. What You'll Do

  • Conduct extensive quantitative economic, industry and company research and analysis
  • Draft and prepare pitch books with detailed industry materials
  • Model a broad range of corporate finance alternatives and due diligence for client transactions including buy-side M&A, sell-side M&A and other strategic advisory mandates
  • Develop financial models: valuation, comparable & relative value analyses, DCF, precedent transactions, LBO, merger models; market-specific analyses
  • Facilitate and coordinate idea generation and solutions development with relevant groups across Mizuho | Greenhill
  • Develop and prepare client presentations and materials with a focus on quality, accuracy and timeliness
  • Assist in the evaluation, due diligence and execution of M&A transactions
  • Assist in client relationship development and cultivation What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 6 years’ investment banking, corporate finance, and M&A experience with a top-tier bank OR an MBA in Finance and a current VP at a top-tier bank
  • Knowledge of corporate finance, securities, financial markets and risk & pricing analysis
  • Experience in M&A Investment Banking is a strong plus
  • Ability to synthesize large amounts of information and develop innovative ideas and/or product solutions
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously; strong judgment handling confidential information
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines; strong written and oral communication
  • Creativity and intellectual curiosity; ability to work independently and in a team
  • Proficiency with FactSet, CapitalIQ, Bloomberg, Microsoft Office; Series 79 & 63 Nice to Have
  • Direct experience in M&A across buy-side and sell-side mandates within a similar environment Compensation & Benefits
  • Base salary range: $250,000 – $275,000 per year
  • Generous employee benefits package and discretionary bonus
