Job title: Investment Banking Associate - Real Estate
About the Role Join Scotiabank's Global Banking & Markets team as an Investment Banking Associate focused on Real Estate in New York. You will work with the Head of U.S. Real Estate Investment Banking to manage and grow current client relationships, oversee advisory and capital markets transactions, and create related financial analyses and presentation materials. Collaborate with colleagues across the bank to deliver comprehensive solutions.
What You'll Do
- Utilize industry experience to conduct critical financial analysis of companies and present findings to clients and internal stakeholders in a concise and professional manner.
- Evaluate and analyze the financial needs of corporate clients, including the development of financial models (DCF, LBO, NAV), pro-forma financial statements and comparable company analysis.
- Provide key inputs for use in financial modeling and oversee analyst and associate models.
- Execute Equity and Debt Capital Markets opportunities for real estate companies in conjunction with ECM and DCM groups.
- Perform required financial analysis and oversee due diligence process.
- Participate in drafting prospectuses and marketing presentations for transactions.
What We're Looking For
- Industry experience in investment banking and/or real estate finance, with a track record of financial analysis and client coverage.
- Strong financial modeling skills (DCF, LBO, NAV), development of pro-forma statements, and comparable company analysis.
- Ability to provide inputs for financial models and oversee junior team members' work (analysts and associates).
- Experience executing Equity and Debt Capital Markets transactions for real estate clients in collaboration with ECM and DCM teams.
- Proficiency in due diligence processes and drafting prospectuses/marketing materials.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: 175,000.00 - 225,000.00 USD per year. Salary offered may vary based on candidate’s knowledge, skills and experience.
